Feb 2: Leadership Meetings
These meetings are not just for den leaders or volunteers! If you have a scout, you’re a leader! We are currently making plans for the End of Year event and your input is valuable!
Feb 11: Blue & Gold Dinner ~ 5pm
This annual event celebrates our year and recognizes those scouts who have earned their crossover to Boy Scouts. More details will be communicated at den and pack meetings and in next month’s newsletter. Mark your calendar now!
Feb 24: Charlotte Checkers 2012 Scout Night
Please check with your den leader to see if your den is participating.
Mar 16-17: Pinewood Derby
The countdown is on! This event is just around the corner and promises to be exciting. More information, including rules and regulations will be circulated in upcoming meetings but it’s never too early for scouts (not Dad) to start thinking about design – and the value of good sportsmanship!
May 5: Chimney Rock Scout Day (End of Year Outing)
9:30 am to 3:30 with optional overnight camping
Where: Chimney Rock State Park
What: All day progam including access to the park with 3 special programs that each scout can participate in and receive a patch.
Cost: $15 per scout, $12 per adult, $5.50 per additional youth (6-15) plus $6-9 for lunch. Additional $8 per person primitive camping fee.
Other lodging options (including full facility camping) are nearby.
Additional food can be provided by the park at a fee.
